I have learned a lot since starting the wedding planning process, especially from reading WeddingBee (my daily crack). I know what a Cricut is and could possible invision myself finding things to do with it. But what I also learned about was the heat embosser. And I had a 40% off Michael's coupon!!And you bet your buns I tried it out right away!!
I learned a lot about it too... about what was important when doing it. Above is my very first embossed snowflake, notice how it's not perfect (are any of us, really?).
Awesome!! This will be perfect for... um... anything!
And then there was my favorite stamp EVER. I bought this stamp to make some simple bridal shower thank you cards (not that I've had a bridal shower yet... but some things you just know) and I have been itching to stamp just about anything and everything with it. It's a surprise that the dog doesn't have this stamp on his nose. So, I embossed it:Yeah... fail. Don't over zealously tap the embossing powder from the paper. By the way, the above is pretty much what the thank you cards consisted of. Yes, I planned on posting on that. No, I didn't because I'm a failure.
Um... can we say cute? I am thinking I will get some white embossing powder and use this on the back of the invites/programs as a little "home-made" symbol. I really just need to find as many places to put this little couple because I cannot get over them.
I didn't think it could get any more adorable until I embossed it... then the obsession went overboard.
Anyone else get a new toy that they hadn't planned for? Or fallen in love with a detail that has been turned into a trademark?
